SME and Lead for Component Graphics

SME (subject matter expert) & Graphics Lead for GM components. Responsible for leading all programs being developed in North America. Collaborated with stakeholders across functions to apply feedback to design for the customer, led internal team, and interfaced with external vendors to assure design excellence. Applied in depth knowledge of manufacturing requirements, human factors best practices, regulatory requirements, and aesthetics to create exciting designs for customers. Organized a deliverable schedule for internal team, mentored best practices, and managed graphic layout strategies. Over 7000 graphic variants released on time without defects.

Hummer EV SUV & SUT

Role: Lead Designer

Highlights: Created a shared button strategy that would work for SUV, SUT and other non-released GM program.

Speedo numbers did not have an alphabet. Created an uppercase alphabet to be used on the interior.

Buick Family

Role: Lead Designer

Highlights: Worked with supplier to create new technology to support multi-colored indicators and multiple LED packaging for shared heated/vented seat icon on a toggle. The new technology allowed us to package 9 LEDs in a 19mmx8.5mm space.

Due to button limitations, created a shared button strategy that would work for DZA and SZA HVAC graphics.

Chevrolet GMC Full Size Pickups and SUVs

Role: Lead Designer

Highlights: Created a shared telltale strategy between 5 different math themes (base, 2 mid, 2 uplevel) while creating brand differentiation between Chevrolet and GMC. Once engine redlines were added, I created 150+ different graphic variants.

Between LD Pickup, HD Pickup and SUV, responsible for 300+ graphic variants. Released 850+ part files to meet corporate timing.
